Welcome to my holiday apartment by the sea.
Lapwing 2 is a modern, well-appointed holiday apartment on ‘The Cove’ development offering a peaceful and comfortable retreat. Its 1st floor level access waterfront position provides bright open-plan living and a balcony for enjoying the fresh sea air, where you can relax having your morning coffee, or an evening drink whilst taking in the amazing views of Torbay and the South West Devon coast.
This apartment has Wi-Fi and the advantage of a shared outdoor heated swimming pool (seasonal opening). An allocated parking space is provided with secure access onto the site.
The Cove boasts a fantastic quiet location with the gentle lapping waters of Fishcombe Cove beach just a few steps away. A 10 minute walk takes you to the historic fishing port and vibrant harbour town of Brixham with its variety of seafood restaurants and pleasure boat cruises.

The lounge area has 2 x settees, extendable dining table with 4 chairs, table lamps, Smart T.V, wifi, standard lamp, 2x umbrellas, books and games. Patio doors open onto the balcony.

Bedrooms
The main bedroom has a double bed, bedside tables & lamps a hair dryer, a patio door opens onto the balcony. The 2nd bedroom has 2 x single beds, bedside table and lamp.
Bathroom
The bathroom is fully tiled, with a walk in Myra electric shower, toilet and washbasin, heated towel rail, demister wall mirror & shaver point.
Balcony
On the large balcony there is a table and 4 chairs to enjoy al fresco dining. You can relax on the 2 patio loungers/leg rests, and take in the ever-changing sea views with its variety of sea crafts, friendly sea lions and watch the birds swooping around Battery Park.
Secure electric gates to enter the complex, Key safe to enter the apartment. Allocated parking for one car. Limited spaces in the visitors area.
The outdoor communal heated swimming pool is open May-mid Sept.
Beyond the pool there is a secure beach gate. Step through the gate into Fishcombe Cove’s turquoise waters. Relax by the waters edge at the beach cafe, with its outdoor seating, drinks and delicious snacks.

Well appointed apartment
A well appointed apartment overlooking the sea with an easy low level walk into Brixham nearby. Our second visit to The Cove that provided a welcome early spring break in a relaxing environment.

Great Location
We had such a nice stay. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed the apartment so much. From the balcony we even saw dolphins. The apartment is very comfortable and the location is great. Close to the beach and 10 min walking to Brixham. During the night it was so quiet, only the seagulls made noise. Very relaxing!

Fabulous views to enjoy
Lapwing 2 was a very clean and comfortable apartment to holiday in with fabulous views to enjoy from our balcony and a beautiful cove and cafe to enjoy just a short walk away. Brixham was just a 10 min walk away with all facilities available (pubs, cafes, restaurants, boat trips) so we barely needed to use our car.
Surrounding Area
The Holiday Park behind The Cove allows our guests to visit their cafe/bar includes a small shop selling essential items.
The Cove is situated in the lee of Fishcombe Point and Battery Park, and within walking distance to both Fishcombe Coves and Berry Head National Trust Nature Reserve.
The iconic fishing village of Brixham, is a 10 min walk through Battery Park, this takes you along the coastal path (some steep steps) where fishing boats of all varieties can be seen in the harbour.
A carefree stroll round the pretty harbour with its vibrant atmosphere of the surrounding harbour cafes and colourful stalls is highly recommended.
If you prefer you can park your car by the harbour or in the town centre.

The Cove is in an ideal place for a perfect day in South Devon, surrounded by the beautiful countryside that Devon has to offer as the ‘Riviera of England’, or for more activity access The South West Coast Path spanning over 22 miles of coastal walks/cycling a perfect all year round location. Shoalstone Outdoor seawater pool/lido is a 15 minute walk away (no life guards)
Numerous signposts direct you to hidden bays including the very popular soft sandy beaches of Broadsands, and Goodrington with their brightly coloured beach huts and an exhilarating water plume slide
Dartmouth 7 miles – The area surrounding the River Dart offers river tours, the unique Dartmouth architecture including Agatha Christies birth home Greenway House. You can also travel on the South Devon Steam Railway providing stunning views of the coastline.
Torquay 8.5 miles – Lots of beaches to choose from, Kents Cavern to explore and the brilliant Living Coasts coastal zoo where you can walk with penguins.
Totnes 9.5 miles – One of Britain’s most beautiful towns filled with bohemian culture…Totnes Castle stands with commanding views of the Dart Valley.
